Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey made his much-anticipated return to action for Arsenal in a friendly match against English Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

Partey, who has been sidelined due to injury for almost four months, was granted permission to skip Ghana's international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda to focus on his recovery.

In the friendly encounter against QPR, Partey featured alongside his Arsenal teammate Takehiro Tomiyasu. However, it was a challenging outing for the Gunners as they were defeated by QPR.

Partey played for 64 minutes as he gradually builds up his match fitness ahead of the resumption of the league after the international break.

Despite Partey's efforts, Arsenal faced difficulties in containing QPR's attacks, with Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah playing a key role in setting up Michael Frey for the opening goal.

Frey added another goal after the break, with Elijah Dixon-Bonner and Ziyad Larkeche contributing to QPR's victory.

Partey's return to action provides a boost for Arsenal as they look to strengthen their midfield options for the remainder of the season.

His presence on the field will be crucial as the Gunners aim to secure positive results in their upcoming fixtures.
