Three players from Nations Football Club have been named in the Ghana Premier League Team of the Week following their impressive performance in Week 31 of the 2024/25 season.
Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Kelvin Ampoful, and Emmanuel Annor were all recognised for their standout displays as Nations FC secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Legon Cities FC at the Legon Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon.
The emphatic win not only solidified Nations FC’s position at the top of the league table but also sealed the relegation of Legon Cities from the top flight.
In addition to the Nations FC trio, two players each from Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko also earned spots in the Team of the Week, reflecting strong performances from the two traditional giants.
Hearts of Oak’s head coach Aboubakar Ouattara was named Coach of the Week after guiding the Phobians to a gritty 1-0 win against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
With only three matches remaining in the season, the title race is heating up. Nations FC, Bibiani Gold Stars, Heart of Lions, and Asante Kotoko are all in the mix as the battle for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League crown intensifies.
