Aduana Stars have terminated the contract of veteran defender Tijani Joshua after years of inactivity at the club since joining from AshGold.

The 29 year old left back has played for some of the biggest clubs in the Ghana Premier League but since joining the Ogya boys his career has been blighted by niggling injuries.

Both parties mutually terminated their contract as the player had been surplus to requirement and was unable to to get a look in the the team.

Tijani Joshua has confirmed in an interview that he personally requested the club to terminate his contract since he has been struggling with injuries.

"Since I joined the team have been always struggled with injuries so the team approached me and I told them I want to terminate my contract" he told West FM.

"They asked me about contract extension because my years with them will end in January but I decided not to stay, I'm even preparing to leave Aduana in the coming days"

"I think with good recruitment of players, the team is currently doing, they can start the new season very well because last season the team couldn't perform well because of some vital points we lost both home and away." He concluded.

He has in the past played for the likes of  Sekondi Hassacas, Wa All Stars and AshantiGold before joining Aduana Stars in 2019.
