Tottenham are preparing for the departure of Christian Eriksen and have watched Leicester midfielder James Maddison, reports The Times. Eriksen will enter the final year of his contract at Spurs this summer and has already attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, notably Real Madrid and Barcelona. Tottenham are at an impasse in talks over a new deal - that have been ongoing since last summer - with Eriksen and face losing the Denmark international for free if his contract runs down. As a result, England midfielder Maddison has been highlighted as a possible long-term replacement for Eriksen, who Spurs value at around £60m.
