Black Meteors midfielder, Emmanuel Lomotey says they are gearing towards their tie against South Africa when they clash in third place playoffs of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday, November 22.

Having failed to qualify for the Olympics after they were beaten 3-2 on penalties in the semifinals by Ivory Coast, Lomotey still believes the team can turn things around to pick the third place spot and qualify for the Olympic Games.

"I will assure Ghanaians of victory in our game against South Africa", he told Bryt FM in an interview.

"The game is very important for we the players, technical team and Ghanaians at large and so, we are going into the game with all seriousness to qualify.

"We will go all out and qualify for Tokyo 2020. I think victory will be ours tomorrow in our last game of the competition" he told Bryt FM in an interview", he added.

He then apologize to Ghanaians after failing to book a place in the final in the ongoing U23 AFCON but says all hope is not lost as they aim to qualify as the third best country for Tokyo 2020.
