Head Coach of Spanish third-tier side UD Melilla, Manolo Herrero reckons Real Oviedo-bound Richard Boateng is ready for the jump to the second division.

The Ghanaian is on the brink of an imminent move to Oviedo with a total agreement set to be closed in the coming days.

Herrero assures that he is a midfielder "with good arrival, good shot" and that he can play in several positions in the middle of the field, as a defensive or attacking midfielder.

"He is a physical player, powerful in the air game," says Herrero. "He is ready to play in Segunda", he adds.

The 25 year old managed 35 appearances for Melilla this campaign including 25 starts, scoring an impressive 14 goals in the process- one of which was voted the best of the season in Group IV of Segunda B.
