The University of Ghana (UG) has taken decisive disciplinary action against more than 100 students for misconduct and academic dishonesty.

14 students have been suspended for two academic years for engaging in disorderly behaviour and breaching university regulations. The sanctions mean they are barred from all academic and extracurricular activities until their suspension period ends.

The decision follows investigations conducted by the university’s Disciplinary Committee into various incidents of student misconduct.

In a separate wave of disciplinary measures, 97 students were found guilty of examination malpractice. University authorities say the students faced formal disciplinary hearings, which confirmed violations of examination protocols.

Two additional students have been officially reprimanded for conduct deemed unacceptable under the university’s code of ethics.

In its statement, the university reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline and underscored its commitment to protecting the integrity of its academic environment.
