The Ghana Police Service has denied reports that the human remains that was retrieved on Friday 2nd August, 2019 at Kansaworodo a suburb of Takoradi was as a result of a tip off or confession from the accused.

Reports going round in the media had suggested that the Police were tipped off before carrying out the swoop on the premises of the chief principal suspect Samuel Odeokut Willis.

In a statement the Police deny any involvement from outside instead claim it was just exploring another angle to the investigations that led to the discovery of the buried human parts in the cesspit tank.

"Police made the discovery as a result of ongoing efforts at examining several angles of the investigation. Claims that a confession or tip-off led to the discovery are untrue.

The Police further adds they have visited the three families and have informed them about the retrieved body parts and their assistance needed in carrying out the DNA test to verify whether the exhumed bodies are indeed the three girls who were kidnapped.

It appears anxious Ghanaians, the families and friends of the three girls would have to wait with bated breath as the results of the DNA test will only be ready in a months time or four weeks as stated by the Police.
