Fast rising Tamale based hiplife artiste, Ahjmed Mujahid Bello, popularly known as Fancy Gadam has replied viral Ghanaian musician, Patapaa alleging that he paid some money to the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) to be awarded with the Song of the Year award.
According to the ‘Total Cheat’ crooner, his song deserved to win the 'Song of the year' award due to the impact it made in the year under review.
The Swedru based artiste angrily stormed out of the Accra International Conference Center after losing out on the ‘Song of the Year’ category at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday April 14.
The ‘One Corner’ hitmaker, who lost out to Fancy Gadam in the ‘Song of the Year’ category at the 2018 VGMAs angrily walked out of the Auditorium when Fancy Gadam was announced the winner
But in an interview on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Monday, Fancy Gadam said in pidgin, “if I win and you no feel, massa go hang yourself”.
He added that he found it absurd that Patapaa thought he was the only person who could have won the award when he was not more popular than the other nominees.
Fancy Gadam further said Patapaa’s was needless advising the artiste to move beyond this year because “if this year is Fancy Gadam’s year, next year can be your year, so you for no vex.”
