Liverpool’s record defender Virgil van Dijk has joined the long list disaster tributes as a dodgy statue of him was erected outside Anfield.
“Finally, A Player worth its weight in gold” was the inscription beneath the the caricature sculpture in what was a poor attempt at immortalizing their new signing.
A PR stunt saw a towering figure of the £75m defender placed outside of Anfield before it was removed for security purposes.
It joins a long list of infamous football statues including Cristiano Ronaldo's disaster effort and Michael Essien's recent bizarre image in Kumasi that surfaced on social media some weeks ago.
