The Ghana Premier Leagu is about to lose one of its shinning lights with WAFA's Augustine Boakye on his way out to Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.

Boakye has signed a four year contract with the Austrian side ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign.

He is expected to join his new side Wolfsberger AC for their pre-season trainer which will begin next week.

Boakye has been turning heads with his breathtaking displays in the Ghana Premier League having scores seven goals and provided 11 assist.

The player was left out of the WAFA's FA Cup match day squad that lost 6-5 on penalties to lower tier side Accra Young Wise over the weekend.

His brilliant form has not gone unnoticed as the 20 year old is among four other players contesting for the Ghana Football Awards Best Home based player.

Boakye is competing with Kotoko's Fabio Gama, Hearts of Oak's Ibrahim Salifu, Abdul Ganiyu, Samuel Ashie Quaye and Gladson Awako.

Eleven Wise coach Ignatius Osei Fosu has recently adjudged Augustine Boakye as the best player in the Ghana Premier League.
