The speculated ‘showdown’ in Parliament over which caucus will occupy the Majority and Minority seats has led to some dramatic scenes.

A large group of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters has gathered at the Parliament premises, clad in party colors and wearing paraphernalia.

Many of the supporters are seen in branded T-shirts featuring images of Annoh Dompreh and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, showing their allegiance in large numbers.

One supporter, speaking to the media, explained the reason for their presence, stating that they were there to protect the NPP and Parliament.

“We are in Parliament to protect NPP, Ghana, and our Parliament, that’s all. It’s a few days to the election, and we believe NPP will win, so we will not allow anybody to spoil our vision. We are coming together to ensure the party gets everything to the end,” he said.

Meanwhile, there is currently tight security at the premises of Parliament ahead of today’s sitting.
