Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have been selected by Ghalca organizers of the annual President’s Cup game which is slated for Sunday 1st September,2019.

According to the organizers the game will take place at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi instead of the usual Accra Sports stadium.

It’s supposed to be an annual competition played in honour of the sitting President of the republic but last year’s edition could not come off.

Talks with the two clubs are far advanced with loose ends yet to be tied for the match to happen on the said date.

But even before the loose ends are tired the usual suspects are up in arms making certain demands to organizers of the competition before the game is honoured.

The National Chapters Committee Chairman for Accra Hearts of Oak, Mr. Herman Hesse has outlined a tall list of demands Ghalca must meet before the competition can be honoured by his team although the club’s management are yet to comment on it.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Ashh fm, the supporters chairman questioned why the game is been played in Kumasi and also at such a short notice among others.

"We are ready to play Kotoko everywhere but the right procedures must be used.We just want our demands to be met by to organizers before we can support our management to honour the game

The timing for the game is too short and the organizers of matches of this nature should respect both Clubs because Hearts and Kotoko are the biggest clubs in Ghana"

"We also want the organizers to give us reasons as to why the game would be played in Kumasi because, there has been issues regarding Hearts and Kotoko games in Kumasi that brought a lot of problems to our supporters.

We don't have problems with the venue for the game but we want the organizers to assure us that if anything happens,Hearts of Oak supporters shouldn't be made to suffer alone"

"Professionally,it is not right for a team who started it's preseason not long ago to play such a high profile game against Kotoko"he stressed.
