Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has reacted to the tragic accident which occurred in Tamale.
Expressing his condolences to families that lost their loved ones in the accident, Mr. Appiah Mensah who lost two of his staff in the accident indicated that he received the news with great shock.
The accident occurred when a cargo truck veered off its lane and drove straight into their convoy, which was welcoming Nigerian music star Patoranking at from the Tamale Airport.
The truck crashed into one of the vehicles and several motorbikes belonging to fans of Fancy Gadam, who is headlining a concert in Tamale on Saturday, in the process.
The fans and the Zylofon staff were on their way the Tamale Airport to welcome Patoranking who was a special guest of Gadam’s scheduled concert today at the Northern Regional capital.
Eight persons died in all while several others sustained various degrees of injury. Both the death and the injured were taken to the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Reacting to the tragic news, Nana Appiah Mensah tweeted; “I convey my deepest & sincere grief on the sudden & sad demise of those involved in the shocking gory accident yesterday. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.I pray God bestows strength on us to harbor the loss.We belong to Allah & to him we shall return”.
