Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Honourable Alex Agyekum says that all football loving fans can look ahead with optimism as football has been handed to football people.

Ghana Football was turned on its head following the Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative piece that uncovered widespread corruption and malfeasance within the very fiber of the local game.

After that investigative piece, the GFA was dissolved before an adhoc committee that is the normalization Committee headed by Dr. Kofi Amoah was put in charge of the day to day administration of football for at least a year.

But with the October 25th 2019 GFA elections, football has been returned to football people with the formation of numerous committees by the new administration and the league season set to kick start.

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Honourable Alex Agyekum in an interview with Kumasi based Akoma Fm says we should all look forward with optimism with the game back to football people.

"Football is now back to football people. With most of the committees formed , football people are serving on these committees."

"Now we can look forward with optimism."he added.
