What could have been at Asante Kotoko had erstwhile Chief Executive Officer, George Amoako been maintained at the club is the hymn being sung by the former Kotoko boss.

He says under his watch the club did very well but people are oblivious of the achievements chalked under his reign as CEO.

George Amoako was axed as the Kotoko CEO after the appointment of a 12 member board of Directors by the life patron of the club Asantehene.

He blamed his management's failures on the abject and unprofessional conditions they were faced at the club but says he would have performed wonders under this new board.

"We could have performed wonders... extremely wonders under the current board members of Asante Kotoko," Amoako told Kessben FM

"We performed better but people don't say it. We made it to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in thirteen years"

"We also won the Normalization Committee tier-1 tournament to book a ticket to the CAF Champions League"

The veteran football administrator has served the Kumasi based side on seven different occasions in varied capacities for the club.

He is now with neighbours King Faisal in a similar role.
