A member of the Ghana Football Association's Adhoc compensation's committee, Mr Frederick Moore says the committee did not just conjure figures out of no where as they did a thorough job by comparing the allowances, salaries on offer at different West African countries.

He says they also compared it to various companies in Ghana including NGO's before arriving at the various sums they proposed to congress on Tuesday which has now been accepted.

The three member Adhoc compensation committee was tasked to come up with appropriate payments and emoluments for the the Executive Committee.

They have approved that the GFA President should be paid a monthly allowance of GHC12,000 while the Vice President will also take home GHC7,000 while members of the Executive Council will also be paid GHC 4,000 as monthly allowance.

This has generated a lot of uproar among many football enthusiast with many questioning why so much is being paid to the top hierarchy.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi FM, he says the three member committee did a lot of extensive working before coming out with the various figures.

"We didn’t just propose those figures,we compared it against other associations in West Africa excluding Nigeria because that would have seriously distorted it.We also compared it against companies in Ghana including NGO’s before arriving at those figures."

"What many have to understand is that the EXCO is unlike any other board,it is an executive board membership so they make executive decisions. There’s a big difference between non executive board and executive board," he added.
