Hasaacas Ladies Football Club beat Nigeria’s Champions Rivers Angels Football Club 3–1 to lift the maiden edition of the West Africa Football Union Zone B Women’s Championship.

After losing their opening match to this same opposition, Hasaacas Ladies exacted revenge in the finals when they defeated them by 3-1.

Speaking after the match Yusif Basigi, coach of the WAFU Zone B champions says that they exploited the weaknesses of Rivers Angels after losing to them in the opening game.

“After losing to them in the first game, we had to go back and re-strategize, take advantage of their weaknesses, we exploited it and it worked for us

“Our game plan worked perfectly for us,” Basigi said after the game.

Janet Egyir was Hasaacas Ladies heroine of the night though goals from Veronica Appiah, Perpetual Agyekum and Azumah Bugre ensured the Ghana champions ended the game as victors.

With Rivers Angels scoring what only proved a consolation as Hasaacas Ladies represents West Africa in the maiden CAF Women's Champions League.
