Black Stars and Genk winger Joseph Paintsil says he is still struggling to recover from Ghana's exit from the African Cup of Nations tournament that is currently underway in Cameroon.

The Genk winger starred in the tournament but unfortunately the entire team was in shambles as Ghana ceashed out after a 3-2 loss to unfancied Comoros Island.

The Black Stars were in the same group as Morocco, Gabon, Comoros but failed to win any of their matches as they lost to minnows Comoros, drew with Gabon and also lost to Morocco.

"Still trying to recover from our painful exit from the competition.Apologies & Thanks to Ghanaians for their support & love , it’s unfortunate we couldn’t repay them with the results .A lot of lessons to learn from this low moments . We shall be back stronger" he shared on his Twitter handle on Saturday.

Ghana will now turn their attentions to the FIFA World Cup qualifier play offs in March against fierce rivals Nigeria.
