President of division one league side Tema Youth FC, Wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer has bemoaned the poor treatment  we give to our football legends.

According to Palmer, we must draw our legends closer to the national team so that they can bring their experience to bare.

More often than not most football legends retire into abject penury and struggle for their livelihoods when they hang up their boots.

Footballers back in the days where not well paid like it happens today when one plays for the national team and he can instantly be a millionaire.

Some legends have lamented the number of failed promises that were made to them especially in the 50's,60's and 70's when successive governments failed to honour promises made to them.

Palmer has called for the GFA to bring some legendary players closer to the national team instead of discarding them and hounding them away from the national teams.

“The way we treat our legends is also not proper. People get close to the team and some people don’t want to see their faces,” he told Graphic Sports in an interview.

Disqualified Ghana Football Association Presidential aspirant Wilfred Osei Kwaku is challenging the disqualification and also repair his dented image.
