Ashantigold's Empem Dacosta says the team wants to win the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title for club President, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong aka Champion.

According to the former Kotoko defender they must win the league title to appease their President after being eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup at the first hurdle.

He says winning the league title is the primary target for all the players as that is the minimum requirement now after their elimination from the continental competition.

"We will be surprised if we don't win this year's league. After our elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup, we (players) are determined to work harder and win the league for Dr. Kwaku Frimpong (Champion). It is our primary target. "he told Light FM in an interview.

The former Karela center back also added that they are excited with the return of spectators to the stadium as that will energize the players.

"We are buzzing about the return of supporters into the stadium. They play major role in boosting our performance to win games."

"Great Olympics are playing some very good football recently but we are determined to secure the three (3) maximum points for the fans," he said.
