Captain of the Black Stars Andre Dede Ayew has leapt to the defence of his brother Jordan Ayew after a section of Ghanaians accused him of holding onto the ball for far too long and shooting when the better option was to pick out a team mate.

Ghana beat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa by two goals to nil with goal from Thomas Partey and debutant Mohammed Kudus.

He says that its normal for a striker you must shoot, try and make mistakes that is the only way you will get it right.

The Swansea City player said that to score goals you must take the initiative of shooting before you get it right.

Andre Ayew admitted that as players they sometimes make mistakes and correct each other on the pitch but they will learn and correct their mistakes after watching the game on tape.

"We demand a lot from him he is our striker and he has to keep going working he has to try and do mistakes and he will try again.

"That is the game and that is the only way we going to not to stop a striker from  scoring"

"We all try but sometimes when we feel it is wrong on the pitch we will all tell you no matter who you are"

"But at the end of the day we need players who will take the initiative If we want to score goals"

"We will all go watch the game correct our mistakes and move on to the next game"he added.
