Angola's forward, Gelson Dala, is brimming with optimism as his team prepares to face Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on Friday.

Dala has issued a warning to the Super Eagles, expressing confidence that he and his teammates are well-prepared to present a formidable challenge.

He believes Angola has a strong chance of securing victory and advancing to the semi-finals of the prestigious AFCON.

"We will fight and make life hard for them. With our fans, we believe we can win,” remarked Gelson Dala, underscoring the determination within the Angolan camp.

Adding to the sentiments, Angola's head coach, Pedro Gonçalves, emphasized the team's respect for Nigeria but made it clear that respect does not equate to fear.

Gonçalves asserted that the pressure is on Nigeria as the perceived favorites in the upcoming clash.

"We respect Nigeria but fear nobody. The pressure is on them as favorites,” Coach Pedro Gonçalves declared.

The highly anticipated quarter-final match between Nigeria and Angola is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm today.

Both teams are gearing up for what promises to be an intense and closely contested battle for a spot in the semi-finals of AFCON 2023.
