Minister-designate for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has assured that the days of where West Africa Examination Council exams papers get to the hands of students even before they write the said papers are over.

He told the Appointments Committee of Parliament when he took his turn for vetting on Tuesday that examination leakages will not be entertained under his watch.

Leakage of exams papers became a topical issue during the last three years of the NDC administration.

Students in some examination centers were reported to have had prior knowledge of the questions even before the papers are distributed to them to write.

Though some successes were made in terms of arrest but the numbers were too small to halt the occurrence from happening.

There were no reported cases of examination leakages last year, however, there are some lingering issues in terms of policing the papers when they are printed before distribution.

Dr. Prempeh commenting further on the issue said the government will tighten the noose at all avenues to ensure that occurrence of examination leakages are totally eliminate.
