Mr. Kofi Portuphy, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has called for a peaceful atmosphere among the rank and file of the party after series of accusations and counter accusations over the one who caused the party's massive defeat in the December polls.

Some of the members of the party have blamed elements within the party for the loss at the general elections.

The founder of the party and former President Jerry John Rawlings has also been tagged and has received his fair share of the blame as well as some leading members and executives of the incumbent government.

But the National Chairman at a Press conference, stated that, such accusations must stop, adding that aggrieved members should use internal structures to seek redress.

“We are discipline party, those of us going on radio stations to make statements that are not in keeping with the norms of our party should desist from it". The chairman said.

“Lets meet at our branches, constituencies and resolve our problems. The leadership of the party abhors individuals going onto stations and making all kinds of remarks. I want to warn that nobody must go on radio stations and attack each other, and that we should use our own systems constitutionally by our party to seek redress. And that we must begin to consider that in the next four years NDC must come back to power". He added.
