Sporting Director for German side RB Leipzig, Florian Scholz has shot down suggestions that Ajax will re-sign their striker Brian Brobbey.

The 19 year old Dutch born Ghanaian striker who is on the books of Ajax, signed for RB Leipzig as a free agent in March after failing to agree new terms with Ajax.

Brobbey in July this year signed a four year contract with RB Leipzig but even before he could play his first match for Leipzig, Ajax want to re-sign him.

Ajax boss, Erik Ten Hag last week confirmed that they are working out a plan to re-sign the 19 year old Dutch striker.

Sporting Director of RB Leipzig, Florian Scholz says that they are expecting the arrival of Brobbey in the summer and are not aware of any interest from Ajax.

"We are happy that Brian has signed with us and is coming to Leipzig in the summer," Scholz said to Bild in reacting to the rumours linking the youngster to his former side in the summer

"We have a lot of contact with him for next season and are preparing him for it," he added.
