WhatsApp is borrowing a new feature from Instagram. The instant messaging application will soon allow users to search and add stickers and emojis when adding doodles on a photo.
The latest WhatsApp stickers Emoji update will be soon available to Android users. It is worth noting that the feature is already available for iPhone users.
“WhatsApp will soon improve the doodle feature for Android, adding “Stickers” and “Emoji” categories (exactly like iOS),” said WABNetainfo.
Based on a screenshot shared by WABetainfo, the interface looks very similar to Instagram’s where you can add stickers and emojis when you post a Story.

The latest update to WhatsApp is expected to help boost usage of stickers on the platform. Earlier, WhatsApp has been working to integrate Stickers with third-party keyboard applications.
Google’s Gboard is expected to be the first keyboard app to introduce the feature. WhatsApp and Gboard currently separate sticker packs. Interested users can access WhatsApp’s sticker pack from the emoji button next to the text bar. Here, users can choose between emojis, stickers and GIFs.
WhatsApp is also working on a new functionality that allows users to download a single Sticker instead of download an entire pack. You can learn how to add single WhatsApp sticker here.
