Celebrated news anchor Nana Aba Anamoah has said she can not fathom how the Minority Members in Parliament agreed to use the 'Bloody widow' tag.

The GhOne TV news editor who expressed disappointment in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs questioned who came up with the idea.

The Minority on Tuesday February 5 2019 walked out of Parliament when the MP elect for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Lydia Alhassan was being sworn in as the MP on the floor of the House.

Before staging the walkout, the Minority MPs brandished placards on the floor of the house, some of which read: “Bloody widow”.

The tag has drawn a number of criticism from several Ghanaians with many calling for the Minority to rebder an apology to Ms. Alhassan.

Wading in the debate, Nana Aba took to her Twitter page to write:

"Someone sat down in the middle of the night, racked his/her brain and came up with BLOODY WIDOW?. And the Minority caucus thought ‘Oh, what a genius!’ oh Lord. NDC MPs no try for this one."

She added: "No no no. I don’t understand. Whose father/mother came up with BLOODY WIDOW for the Minority?"
