Chairman of the Referees Association of Ghana(RAG), Joe Debrah has urged the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association to up the punishment handed to coaches and coaches who also do wrong.

He says that referees are handed stiffer punishment like a total ban for the rest of the season if they go wrong but hand out lesser punishment to the offending clubs and players.

According to Joe Debrah, coaches have been making a whole lot of noise in the airwaves recently for perceived refereeing errors.

He told Kumasi based Gye Nyame FM, that coaches pride themselves when they win but blame referees when they lose games or drop points.

"I do not understand why referees are banned for the rest of the season when they go wrong but clubs and coaches are giving trivial punishment for their wrongdoings."

"Occasionally I hear the punishment given to the coaches which is good but I think they should increase it a little because the noise is too much on the airwaves.

Our coaches credit themselves when they win but tend to blame referees when they lose," he added.
