Technical director of Premier league side Inter Allies disagrees with the proposal mooted by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association's decision to introduce penalty shoot outs in league matches should games end in a draw.

Willie Klutse himself a former Black Stars player has questioned how it will be done since league games are not like cup competitions where you can go into penalty shoot outs should there be a tie in a game.

Instead, the technical adviser has urged the country to take steps to train our players when it comes to penalties in the psychological aspect and discard the notion that its just a matter of luck.

"The player who is going to kick the penalty kick needs strong mental toughness and focus"

"It is very important but in our training programs we take out these things and then when it comes to the situation we want results it doesn't work like that"

"Football is about practise and mental toughness so that is what we are missing in our training program"he told TV3.

Ghanaian teams have suffered from a lot of penalty heart aches in tournaments with the Black Meteors suffering a double penalty blow losing to Ivory Coast in the semifinals of the Caf U-23 Afcon and also losing to South Africa in the third place play off.
