Ghana U-20 star Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is the only player from Ghana'a second tier league to be handed a call up to the Black Stars.

The Steadfast FC player was in March handed a call up to the Black Stars B for a friendly match against Uzbekistan were he shone by scoring a goal and has this time been elevated to the Black Stars proper.

He has been an integral figure in Steadfast FC's promotion push from the lower tier league with his impressive output.

Ghana will play two high profile games against North African giants Morocco (Atlas Lions) and two-time African champions Ivory Coast (Elephants) next month in place of the two FIFA World Cup qualifiers that got cancelled last week.

The Black Stars will first play against Morocco in Rabat on June 8 before hosting Ivory Coast at the Cape Coast Stadium four days later.

Head coach C.K Akonnor will use the match to asses his options as he tries to keep the team fit for the 2022 World Cup qualifier which will now commence in September.

Ghana is in the same group as South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia for the first round of the qualifiers.
