NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi recently slashed the prices of its smartphones. The company has announced a price cut for its smart TV. The last year launched Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 Pro with 55-inch display has got a price drop of Rs 7,000 in the country. The smart television was launched at Rs 54,999 and is now selling at Rs 47,999. The Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 Pro 55 comes with a 55-inch 4K display with almost no bezels around. The company claims that the TV has a frameless design. It is also -- according to Xiaomi’s claims -- the world's thinnest
TV with 4.9mm. The display offers the resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and 178 degree wide viewing angle.

The Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 Pro 55 has the refresh rate of 60Hz and response time of 8 milliseconds. The TV supports Dolby Audio and also incorporate two 8W speakers.

On the connectivity front, the television offer USB 2.0, HDMI, Ethernet, one AV and one S/PDIF, Bluetooth and WiFi.

The device is powered by a quad-core Amlogic Cortex A53 CPU paired with Mali-450 MP graphics processor. It offers 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The smart TV runs Android TV based on PatchWall and supports Google Assistant for voice search. The company claims that it offers 7,00,000+ hours of content on its platform.

Recently, Xiaomi slashed the price of two of its smartphones. Both Xiaomi Mi A2 and the Redmi Note 6 Pro got a price drop in India.
Xiaomi Mi A2 got a price cut of Rs 2,000 and it is now selling at a starting price tag of Rs 11,999. On the other hand, the
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro also received a price cut of Rs 2,000 and its price also starts at Rs 11,999.
