President of the Republic, HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been severely criticized by broadcaster Johnnie Hughes for not showing a proper sense of responsibility.

According to the host of TV3's New Day show, the President is good at appointing people but do not have the teeth to bite the very people he appoints when they fail to live up to the tasks.

He made the comments while addressing Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo's continuous absence from parliament on the Johnnie's Bite segment on the New Day show Friday.

According to him, the President is watching on whiles Hon. Adwoa Safo, who is the substantive minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection is "tiktoking on social media" and "speaking slangs on Zoom" instead of being in parliament to represent her constituents and the country at large.

"Mr. President, you're quick to hire but not quick to fire," he slammed, adding "if I were the president, Adwoa Safo would have gone."

On Thursday, May 26, 2022, Hon. Adwoa Safo spoke in an interview with Joy News to speak on family, her party (the NPP) and long absence from parliament.

She among other things indicated she remains focused on what she is doing and hopes her son, who is unwell would get better so she can resume her duties.
