President of the Ghana football association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has responded to the minister of youth and sports,Nii Lantey Vanderpuije's, "unattractive" GhPL comments.

Prez Nyantakyi speaking on Accra based radio station "starrfm" in an interview about the "unattractive" league comments made by the minister, He described the minister as a serial caller.

He says; "I think that the assertion that the league is on unattractive is not supported by the facts on the grounds".

"This is the league that has attracted the highest attendance and huge crowds watching the game in various centres" He added

Nyantakyi says he is pleased with the GhPL but is rueful about the comments made by the Minister.

"Bright adjei goal was voted the best in the world not even in Africa...if the league is not attractive how did we record over four hundred ghana cedis in one single game between hearts and Kotoko" Nyantakyi explained.

The president of the GFA adds: "we pay VAT on them so the government is a beneficiary, the league is the most attractive sporting events in Ghana now ahead of cycling, badminton, volley ball, athletics ahead of everything so there is nothing to even compare with that you say that is not attractive"

Nyantakyi retains faith in the GhPL and insists the league is run professionally.

"This is the league that we sleep and think about" Nyantakyi asserted
