Ghanaian Actress/TV host, Yvonne Okoro has suggested a solution to end the social media jollof war between Ghana and Nigeria as she has thrown a challenge to music heavyweights Sarkodie and Davido.

The actress who traces her roots to both counties sent an open invitation on social media to Sarkodie and Davido to take the 'war' to the kitchen to cook jollof on her cooking show, Dining With.

The recent banter between the West African music icons began on micro-blogging site, Twitter, when their South African counterpart, Cassper Nyovest, stated that he couldn’t tell which of these two countries’ jollof he loves best after having tasted both.

“Don’t know if I love Ghanaian or Nigerian jollof rice more…. what’s your preference?” he asked his followers on Twitter.

Davido replied his tweet by saying, “Looooool na we get the sauce oo”, literally meaning Nigerians cook the best jollof.

Cassper responded to Davido by adding, “Hahaha… Had some lit jollof at Davido’s house actually. Called him the next day like WHA??? @iam_Davido,” he tweeted.

But Sarkodie, who was definitely not amused, replied the tweets by saying, “Forget bro … you had no choice … You need options … hit me up I can even make you the best jollof cook via voice note.”

“No need for this bro just put me and Davido in the kitchen,” he added.

However, the Nigerian musician ran from kitchen challenge and rather called for a music challenge in the studio.

“Forget this one let’s do gbedu Competiton… make studio turn kitchen lmao,” he said in a tweet.

But interestingly, Yvonne Okoro, who is a Ghanaian actress of Nigerian descent, waded into the argument with her open invitation to the two musicians to come on her cooking show to settle their difference.

“Helloooo….Come to my kitchen…What do you say???Let’s see who WINS @sarkodie @davidoofficial #diningwithcooks&braggarts,” she said on Instagram and Twitter.

Her tweet attracted a lot of comments, with many followers calling on the two musicians to honour the invitation. But both artistes are yet to respond to Yvonne Okoro’s tweet.

The jollof ‘war’ between Ghanaians and Nigerians has always been an epic fun fight and it doesn’t appear to end anytime soon, even though Sarkodie and Davido are aiming to draw the curtains on it.
