The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East, Zak Rahman, has provided a significant financial contribution to the ongoing AMSER Zongo Inter-Tribal Football Competition on Monday, donating GH₵6,500 to the organisers.

Mr. Rahman made the donation during his visit to the Kanda Cluster of Schools Park venue on Monday, June 3rd, before the match between Sisala and Fulani.

The event brings together young footballers from various Zongo communities within the constituency, fostering unity and camaraderie beyond tribal lines.

"The talent on display reaffirmed my belief that our Zongo communities are a goldmine of undiscovered potential," the parliamentary hopeful stated.

"This event is more than just football; it's a vital platform unearthing hidden gems from our neighbourhoods."

Mr Rahman expressed his belief that the AMSER Zongo Inter-Tribal Football Competition is a unifying force that not only showcases athletic skills but also brings together youth from diverse backgrounds.

He assured the organisers of his continued support for such initiatives in the future, recognising their profound impact on the community.

If elected as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East in the 2024 general elections, Mr Rahman has vowed to champion more projects like the AMSER competition.

His goal is to provide diverse platforms that spotlight the multifaceted talents of Zongo youth, not just in sports but also in areas such as arts, technology and entrepreneurship.

"I'll work tirelessly to ensure these skills don't go unnoticed, creating opportunities that extend far beyond the football pitch," he stated, emphasising his commitment to empowering the youth and unlocking their potential.
