Zamalek coach Jose Gomez expressed his belief that his team deserved to advance to the finals of the CAF Confederation Cup over Dreams FC following their commanding performance in the semifinal second leg.

The Egyptian powerhouse delivered a dominant display against the Still Believe lads at the Baba Yara Stadium, securing a convincing victory to secure their place in the tournament's final.

Dreams FC entered the return leg with a slight advantage after a goalless draw in the first leg at the Cairo International Stadium.

However, their hopes of reaching the finals were dashed as they succumbed to a 3-0 defeat on home turf.

Goals from Hamza Mathlouthi, Samson Akinyoola, and Mostafa Shalaby propelled Zamalek to a 3-0 aggregate victory.

"We worked hard and came to win, and I said before the match that when everything is under our control, we can perform at the best level possible for us," Gomez commented after the game.

Gomez praised his team's defensive solidity, highlighting the contributions of the wingers and full-backs in maintaining a strong defensive shape throughout the match.

He noted the team's ability to create spaces and capitalize on opportunities, asserting that Zamalek deserved the victory.

With their place secured in the finals, Zamalek now prepares to face Moroccan outfit RS Berkane in what promises to be an exciting showdown for the Confederation Cup title.
