Ghanaian defender Daniel Opare was injured on his debut for his new club Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League last Sunday against Genk.

His manager Francky Dury has been left disappointed with the absence of his player as the play their next league game on Sunday.

Opare switched from fellow Belgian side Royal Antwerp at the end of the season with the expiry of his contract.

The right full back will miss out on  Zulte waregem's next league game against Beerschot with his manager lamenting his miss.

Opare's Zulte waregem career got off to a good start on his debut only for that injury to mar a somewhat glorious start.

Francky Dury said at a press conference as published by  Het Nieuwsblad  ; ''That's a shame, because he played very well against Genk. But it is well... as we have to move on.''

He added: " l only wanted to win against Genk and I'm going to repeat that now. If you don't get points in the first match, you must win the second. You have to grab points as quickly as possible. ”
