President Akufo-Addo has appointed Dr Gifty Oware-aboagye as Deputy Executive Directors of National Service Scheme in charge of Finance and Administration.

She’s occupies the Deputy Executive Director position with Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) being in charge of Operations and Programmes.

The two were very instrumental in the victory of the NPP in the 2016 elections.

They are expected to bring to bear their expertise together with the newly appointed boss Mustapha Yussif the former MP for Yagaba-Kobori to help resolve pertinent issues affecting NSS personnel especially their allowances.
Dr Gifty Oware -Aboagye, who is a social scientist and product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), was the first female to contest for the position of National Youth Organiser of the NPP, a position which was eventually by Sammy Awuku as winner.

She was until recently the Head of Research at Danquah Institute and also Head of Media Monitoring for campaign 2016.
Ms Oware-Aboagye has held the position of President of Green Earth, Vice President of  the Ghana United Nations Student Association,(GUNSA), Associate Editor of KNUST Independence Hall Journal and the first female to contest the presidency of the Faculty of Social Science of KNUST and was  nominated for the best writer award of the National Union of Ghanaian Students (NUGS).

She was also a fellow of the Moremi African Initiative of Young Women leaders in 2010 and currently the Director of Berry International, an NGO and co-partner of Berry Events, an event organising company.
