A delegation from the Greater Manchester Police in the United Kingdom (UK) are in Ghana for a five-day official visit.

The delegation which consists of two police officers from the UK Police Service are in the country to explore possibilities of collaboration between the Ghana Police Service and the Greater Manchester Police.

A high powered meeting was held with the Police Management Board (POMAD) at the police headquarters in Accra on Monday, 22 January, 2018, where issues of capacity building in the areas of cybercrime investigations, use of social media to fight crime and community policing were discussed.

The delegation is also expected to visit police training institutions in Winneba and Accra as well as other police units where they will share ideas on best policing practices and collaborations.
