The 12th edition of the popular Television reality beauty pageant, Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB), has been launched in a grand style, at the Takoradi Jubilee Park.

Paramount chiefs from the regions across the country were at the venue in support of the contestants representing their various regions.

‪In his welcome address, the Takoradi Regional Minister, Hon K.K Sam encouraged all the ten contestant never to loose hope as the event unfolds because according to him, Ghanaians will continue to give them all the support they seek so soar higher.

Contestants were unveiled at the launch which was also attended by the winner of the 2017 GMB, Miss Zeinab, from the Northern Region.

Below are the stage names of all ten contestants shortlisted for the 2018 GMB contest.


  1. Wikea - Upper East (23yrs)

  2. Tewa - Central Region (27yrs)

  3. Nuo - Upper West (23yrs)

  4. Dzifa - Volta Region (25yrs)

  5. Naa - Greater Accra

  6. Nabia - Northern Region

  7. Afra - Ashanti Region

  8. Ohemaa - Brong Ahafo (24yrs)

  9. Abena - Eastern Region (19yrs)

  10. Adepa - Western Region

The ten contestants who exhibited a great deal of eloquence convinced judges that they are on top of their game with regards to knowledge about their respective regions. The ladies are poised to battle each other for the 13-week contest.

They were selected after weeks of audition process and screening which cut across the ten regions of Ghana.

Over the years, GMB has churned out industrious young women who have made positive impact in society.

Some past queens have also capitalized on the GMB platform to embark on projects that benefited many in the country.

This year’s contest is under the catchphrase, “This is the Life”, and it promises to entertain and educate viewers by dishing out what is anticipated to be exciting performances from the contestants weekly.
