A 16-year-old motor repairer is fighting for his life after a tricycle accident at Potsin Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

Eyewitnesses say the teenager was recklessly showing off with the tricycle, commonly known as an "aboboyaa," when he lost control, causing it to overturn.

The victim was initially rushed to the Potsin Polyclinic but was later transferred to the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba due to the severity of his injuries.

Ebo Anderson, an eyewitness, shared with Adom News that the young man is well-known in the community for his dangerous riding of motorbikes after work.
“He took the tricycle to drive around, but because of his reckless riding, it overturned, leading to severe injuries,” Mr Anderson said.

Doctors at Winneba confirmed that the teenager sustained multiple fractures in his right leg, with both bones severely damaged.
