Black Stars B fell to a 1-0 defeat to Burkina Faso in the first leg of their CHAN qualifier on Sunday.

Stephanne Yannick Pognongo solitary strike in second half  stoppage time proved to be the difference between the sides at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Burkinabe have a slim advantage ahead of the reverse encounter set to be played in Ouagadougou next month.

Coach Maxwell Konadu’s and his charges face an uphill task to advance to the tournament after missing out of the last two editions of the competition in 2016 held in Rwanda and 2018 in Morocco.
