Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, took a break from his campaign tour to engage with constituents of the Upper Denkyira District in the Central Region by playing a game of draughts (checkers) with them.

The lighthearted moment was captured on video and has since sparked conversations about his ability to connect with the grassroots in a down-to-earth manner.

This move is part of his broader campaign strategy, where he emphasizes listening to the needs of the people while sharing the NPP’s vision for the future.

Dr. Bawumia is currently in the Western Region, where he is interacting with the people of the Wassa East Constituency as part of his campaign activities.

His campaign is focused on key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic empowerment, promising to leverage his experience and policies to transform these areas if elected as President in 2024.
