The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) is appealing to sponsors and development partners to support the upcoming 2025 edition of National ICT Week, scheduled for August 25–29.

Speaking at the official launch of the event, Solomon Richardson, Director of Technological Services at NITA, expressed hope that this year’s celebration would receive greater backing from sponsors and investors to help advance Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.

“Ghana can leverage ICT to create more opportunities for the youth across the entire value chain. These are some of the achievements we’ve made so far,” he noted.

However, Mr. Richardson also highlighted funding as a persistent challenge.

“One of our biggest hurdles has been securing adequate sponsorship. Organising a programme of this scale requires significant resources, and unfortunately, we haven’t been able to attract enough sponsors,” Mr. Richardson said.

National ICT Week aims to promote digital literacy, innovation, and technological growth nationwide. This year’s event will include exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and youth-focused technology initiatives designed to inspire and empower the next generation of digital leaders.
