Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has issued a passionate call to the Black Stars to deliver a resounding victory over Comoros in their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on October 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

With Ghana sitting atop Group I with 19 points, a win would secure qualification for the global showpiece in the United States, Canada, and Mexico next year.

“Every Ghanaian wants the Black Stars to pay back Comoros by beating them convincingly in Matchday Ten,” Adams declared.

Ghana’s only defeat in the qualification series came against Comoros last year, a result that still stings. It followed a disappointing group-stage exit at the 2023 AFCON, further fuelling the desire for redemption.

The Black Stars begin their final doubleheader against the Central African Republic on October 8 at the Stade d'Honneur de Meknes in Morocco, before returning home for the decisive clash.

Head coach Otto Addo is expected to unveil his squad for the doubleheader this week, with several in-form Ghanaian players both locally and ones abroad expected to be called up for the showdown.
