2026 World Cup: Black stars arrive in Kansas City for Colombia clash

Ghana’s Black Stars have arrived in Kansas City ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 match against Colombia.
The squad travelled from Providence, Rhode Island, on Wednesday after spending three weeks based there during the group stage.
Ghana played Panama, England and Croatia while in Providence, securing a place in the knockout rounds for the first time since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
They will face Colombia at Kansas City Stadium on Friday, 3 July, with kick-off at 01:30 GMT.
A place in the last 16 is at stake, with the Black Stars hoping to extend a campaign that has already marked a significant return to the World Cup knockout stage.
The team are scheduled to complete their mandatory pre-match training session on Thursday before final preparations for the tie.
Colombia will provide a difficult test, but Ghana will be aiming to draw on the spirit of their 2010 run, when they reached the quarter-finals in South Africa.
