Tragedy struck at Mile 11 in the Ga South Municipality on Monday, June 30, as 33-year-old Samuel Yeboah was stabbed to death following a violent confrontation with his co-tenant.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident began as a heated argument between Yeboah and a Nigerian woman identified as Emeka Buchi, with whom he shared the residence.
During the altercation, Buchi is alleged to have called her son and daughter, who later returned accompanied by a group of nine unidentified men.
The situation escalated when the group reportedly launched a brutal assault on Yeboah, culminating in a fatal stabbing.
He was rushed to Finney Hospital in a bid to save his life, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
So far, three suspects, including Buchi’s daughter and sister, have been arrested by the police, while two others remain on the run.
The incident has sparked outrage among residents, particularly the youth of Mile 11, who have issued a stern warning to authorities.
They have demanded swift justice and threatened to take matters into their own hands if the suspects are not brought to book promptly.
Samuel Yeboah’s body has been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue in Accra as police investigations continue.
