Paul Scholes advises Manchester United to snap up Osimhen

Former England and Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has admonished his former club to sign red-hot attacker, Victor Osimhen this summer as the Nigerian is on the market after a brilliant and remarkable season in Turkey with Galatasaray as a loanee from Italian champions, SSC Napoli.
The 26-year-old made a huge impact and also cemented his name in history books during his loan spell with Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray in the 2024/25 season where he also won the Turkish Lig Cup, scoring a record 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 games during his short stint with the club as he also set a record for the most goals scored by a foreign player with 35 goals in a single Turkish season, surpassing Mario Jardel’s 34 goals which was set in the 2000-2001 season.
“I think [Victor ] Osimhen, it sounds like a doable one,” Scholes told The Overlap Fan Debate. “When you talk about financial problems, Osimhen could be doable. But I would keep [Rasmus] Hojlund.
“I know he is not been great, but he’s a 22-year-old kid playing on his own for Manchester United the last two years.
“Manchester United should have at least three top centre forwards. I would have him and Osimhen. Him, Osimhen and Gyokeres,” the former England Champions League winner added.
