Mr Macaroni denies rape allegation, calls claim “horrendous and distasteful”
Nigerian actor, comedian, and activist Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has strongly denied a rape allegation leveled against him.
The claim came from an X user with the handle Lukurawa16703, who accused Mr Macaroni of raping a minor and allegedly using the Nigerian police to intimidate the victim and her family. The allegation was shared alongside one of Mr Macaroni’s posts criticising President Bola Tinubu’s administration over rising insecurity.
In response, Mr Macaroni described the accusation as “horrendous and distasteful,” asserting that it is politically motivated.
He claimed the accuser is a supporter of President Tinubu and the ruling APC, labeling the allegation as “propaganda” intended to discredit him for holding the government accountable.
He warned that he would pursue legal action against the account holder to serve as a warning to others and called on the public to provide information that could help identify the individual behind the account.
Mr Macaroni further stated, “This tweet also serves as an opportunity to strongly refute this ridiculous accusation and any other kind from the infested supporters of the APC because I expect their disease to continue to spread as I won’t stop criticising this abomination of a government!”
